The house is amazing and in an idyllic spot. All you can hear is the sound of the nearby river and the sheep. It is really peaceful, surrounded by lovely countryside and with great views. All of the 7 bedrooms are large rooms with big, comfy beds and there was plenty of room for our two families. The house is also warm and not draughty – being a big, old house, that was a pleasant surprise. .
We were really impressed. Usually there’s a rush for who gets the best bedroom, but as all the bedrooms are amazing we didn’t have a problem. The kitchen is well equipped and the dining area is perfect for communal meals. The house really is incredibly well set up.
Beautiful house, extremely spacious. Everything you need is on hand. Amazing surroundings – such a relaxing setting with great walks. We would definitely go again.
The cottage is decorated with meticulous attention to details and a balanced approach in preserving the original character of the property and still providing all modern facilities. The most utilised rooms were on the ground floor where we ate, drank , sang along, danced and even celebrated a birthday. Just perfect for family, unwinding in the woods.
